Sono gia' 82 i deputati europei che in 36 ore hanno aderito ad una dichiarazione congiunta che chiede le dimissioni del ministro Carlo Giovanardi a seguito delle sue gravi dichiarazioni sull'eutanasia in Olanda.
Tra gli eurodeputati che esprimono il loro sdegno per le dichiarazioni del ministro Giovanardi figurano importanti personalità della politica europea come Michel Rocard (ex Primo Ministro francese), Daniel Cohn-Bendit (leader dei Verdi europei), Graham Watson (leader del gruppo liberale), Francis Wurtz (leader del gruppo della Sinistra europea), Philippe Busquin (ex Commissario europeo alla ricerca scientifica), oltre a 10 dei 27 deputati olandesi presenti a Bruxelles.
